macOS and Mac Apps

Hi all. I've just got a macbook pro and I'm slowly working my way through learning the apps. My biggest frustration at the moment is email. The native mail client seems clunky and inefficient as far as navigating goes and don't even get me started on trying to access single mail accounts. haha. I'm wondering therefore now that Microsoft 365 is more accessible, is it worth switching to outlook for mac? I moved away from this on windows because I really like message threading and it's pitiful. So, is threading with outlook on the mac any better? Or am i going to have to learn how to use Mac's native mail client? If yes then can someone direct me to an idiot's guide please? Thanks.
