I use Apple Notes extensively on my iPhone to save documents such as flight and hotel bookings, medical records and other documents.
I find it easy to navigate on iPhone, however on Mac i am facing challenges when navigating the very same notes.
After adding an attachment such as PDF to an Apple Note, it shows up as a thumbnail inside the note.
I use the arrow keys to navigate within the note, and when the cursor focus comes onto the PDF thumbnail, i tried everything such as interacting with the thumbnail and also a contextual click, however i am not able to get the PDF to open.
On iPhone when i do a long press on the PDF thumbnail it gives me a menu with the option to open up the PDF, however i am not getting a similar menu on Mac OS.
What am i doing wrong?

Have you tried interacting with the attachment in the note text field, interacting with the toolbar at the top of this group, and clicking the unlabeled menu button? This is what worked for me just now when attaching a PDF to a note.
