Autocomplete

Hi all,

Just wondering: has anyone managed to get the escape key to function as an autocomplete key in OSX 10.12? To see what I mean, if you're running that nice, but now very decrepit nightowl, in the new tweet edit box, start typing a username (as in, at somebody), and press escape. In El Capitan, Mavericks, (etc.) that would give a list of auto complete options. In Sierra, it doesn't and I'm wondering if there's something I'm missing.

thanks a lot.
