Best App for Recording Podcasts on Mac

Hi all,
I'm thinking of starting a podcast in the not too distant future, once I've got my hands on a decent microphone.

Which is the best app for recording and/or editing podcasts? I've had a look at Audacity but I don't want to get too deep into it if it isn't worthwhile. Ideally the app shouldn't cost too much either, although I am open to paying money for it if the features are both useful and accessible.
