Can you please explain the different parameter of Alex voice?

Hi.
So I've heard that many people love the Alex voice. I downloaded it on my mac and in the voice settings I see lots of esoteric settings I've seen nowhere before. All in all I have the feeling that there is a reason as to why this voice is loved. I haven't really found proper documentation for it, so for those who know could you please explain what each slider do and how they interact with each other?
Thanks a lot.

The pitch range slider acts as an inflection slider. Set it lower than 100, and you decrease the intonation. Zero is no intonation, and 200 is max intonation.
You can also set the minimum and maximum words per minute of the Voice. You could set WPM maximum to 900 words per minute, and then if you were to adjust The speech rate for Alex to the max, it would speak at whatever the maximum WPM value you have set for.
Also, if WPM minimum is set to anything higher than 50, 0% speed rate will speak at that many words per minute. The default minimum value for words per minute is 50, and the default maximum value is 500 words per minute.
D sliders also appear on any of the other MacinTalk voices, such as Fred, Vicky, Victoria, or any of the novelty voices.
