Hi there.
Okay. This is what I am trying to do. I'm trying to set up a work flow to confirt PDF files in to text. So, here's what I've done so far.
1. I open automater and press CMD+N to set up a new work flow.
2. I then choose the kind of work flow I want which is services.
3. Then, I press the choose button all the way to the right.
4. Now, I go just to the right of the work flow area and interact until I'm interacting with the actions Library.
5. Now, from the columb on the left, I choose PDF and from the actions on the right, I choose extract text.
6. Now, I press VO+comma to select the extract text item for draging.
7. Next, I stop interacting three times.
8. Now, I press VO+left once and interact with the work flow area.
9. Now, at this point, I press VO+period to drop the extract text item in to the work flow.
However, this is where things go wrong. Drag and drop will just simply not drop the extract text item in to the work flow. I should point out that when I do this, that is, when I attempt to interact with the work flow area, I here "Untitled 2 service receives selected".
I have consulted Jonathan's insstructions and it seems we are both doing the same thing. I can't work out where I might be going wrong. Thanks.
