macOS and Mac Apps

Hello:
After all companies increased there internal storage, some clients came to me with no flash memory, no Flash card, only there mobile that they need to take some data on it,
am talking about any android phone, or even old nokia, i tried connecting them to my mac to use them as a storage device, but my mac can not see any mobile at all,
do not suggest using any kind of links or FTp, because some people do not know anything about this,
is there a way that i can connect any mobile phone as a storage device on mac?
thanks in advance

just Androids, as far as I know.

for Android phones, the only way to use them as storage devices is to download Android File Transfer. the app is hard to use with VoiceOver though, and drag and drop, doesn’t consistently work. that might be a general VoiceOver issue, and not the app though. as for old nokeya phones, Simbian is so old that there is no app that interfaces with macos. I’m sirprised if there is Windows compatibility, especially with Windows 11.

WIth windows

Windows will open this with no problems, because it opens the phone as a storage device not a phone.

my only suggestion

the only thing which will defenatly work is putting Windows on your Mac through Bootcamp, if your Mac is intel, or VMWare fution, if your Mac is Apple Silacon. other than that, I can’t think of anything else. VMWare Fution also works on intel Macs as well. bootcamp does not currently work with Apple Silacon Macs at this time, though the deal quolcom has with Microsoft, is expiring soon. We might see Bootcam[‘s return, hopefully.

USB Drivers

also, drivers for your phone(s) will have to be installed. these are specific to each Android vendre.

Very complicated really

I thought that the thing will be easier than that.

well, to connect any mobile device to a Mac, only Android works. in macos. Bootcamp is really not that complacated. I’ve dun it many times. windows has a talking installation now, and all you need is a pair of wirered headphones or a USB soundcard.

Commander One (Pro version), is your best option if you wish not to install Windows. You can try out the Pro features for 15 days for test driving via said application:

For more great ways to transfer files between Mac and Android, check the list linked below.
NB. You may need to enter Reader Mode (Command+Shift+R [Safari], F9 [Microsoft Edge]), in order to properly read said list:
