macOS and Mac Apps

Hi everyone, been a while since I posted. I have a question. The files I have from my college are PDF and PPTX. And I also have the Microsoft Word app on my Mac, how do I convert my files into a word document? Using my MacBook Air?

ABBYY FineReader or MS Office Words

I often use an OCR app called ABBYY FineReader. It has quite a decent accuracy, both in content and layout retention.
Otherwise, you can also consider using the built-in function of Microsoft Office Words. I just choose to open by the app and it will convert automatically for me. I have only used this method to convert well-tagged PDFs though, haven't got a chance to try with scanned ones where OCR must be involved.
