Dear Applevis community,
I think it's important to spread this message around. You will find below a copy of an email sent by Pneuma Solutions, the company behind RIM software aiming to make remot support easy and accessible for blind people even if the controlled machine doesn't have any assistive technologies there.
I honestly haven't used RIM myself recently on Sequoia, but I am sure having seen a topic here saying that it was almost unusable. Sorry if this was already posted by someone before, here it is.
"It’s time to Hold Apple Accountable
At Pneuma Solutions, we’re constantly working to deliver innovative, accessible solutions like Remote Incident Manager (RIM), which helps visually impaired technicians support end users across platforms. However, recent changes in macOS Sequoia have created some challenges for our Remote Accessibility Module, which allows seamless assistance without revealing the technician’s disability.
Due to changes in how VoiceOver settings are managed in macOS Sequoia, visually impaired technicians may experience issues that disrupt their ability to perform tasks discreetly. We’ve identified these problems and are working with Apple’s Accessibility team to find a long-term solution, but we need your help to make sure this critical issue is prioritized.
If you’ve experienced difficulties using RIM on macOS Sequoia, we encourage you to contact Apple’s Accessibility department and politely but firmly advocate the prioritization of a reliable API that allows for safe, controlled adjustments to VoiceOver.
Spread this message far and wide! Together, we can push for better accessibility and maintain the tools that empower visually impaired professionals, while fully preserving their dignity by preventing non-consensual disclosure of disability. Accessibility is a right to inclusivity, and true inclusivity in this case must allow for the fair and equal treatment of visually impaired technicians in this stage of the support process."

So the argument is.
So they're arguing that somebody could hear/see you changing Voiceover settings, and then they'll know you're blind?
That doesn't exactly strike me as making the thing unusable. Unusable to me would be something like, it reads the commands you give but not the output from the remote machine.
