Hi, trying to use my Logitech H800 headset with Facetime on my Macbook Pro running OSX 10.11.4. When I select the headset for both input and output in System Preferences audio for other apps come through on it like playing music in itunes. But when I facetime audio call someone the ringing sound happens in my headset, but as soon as they answer their voice comes out through the internal speaker. There don't seem to be any settings regarding audio in the facetime preferences themselves. Any ideas what's going on and how can I get facetime to use my headset?

1. Do everything as usual.
2. When the person's voice comes out on the internal speaker, go into system preferences and if the output and input have changed, change it back and you should be good to go.

Thanks but the system preferences don't change and other sound is output to the headset while on the call and off it. It's like Facetime is just ignoring the system preferences.

maybe because your headset doesn't have a microphone.
