Hello All. I was wondering if any of you have found a good accessible online backup solution.
I recently downloaded one called crashplan by code 42 software.
I found their app to be minimally accessible.
Have any of you tried it and if so maybe you could give me some pointers on using it, or is it not worth it at all.
I’ve also used carbonite in the past, but they only have one plan for mac users and as far as I remember, they don’t automatically back up all file types.
both services are around 5 dollars a month is you go for a year.
and I liked the services offered by crash plan but if I can’t use their app to restore files, then whats the use in having it.
I was able to set up an account and sig into it I can change the folders I want backed up and even get into a few preferences. but thats about all I see.
I’m thinking that the app has more but that voiceover just isn’t seeing it.
Any ideas on this backup service or any other that is good and accessible?
Thank you.

I use crash plan actually and
I use crash plan actually and it is very accessible. To get to the settings hot control s after you launch the app itself. And that's about it. YIOu don't really need to change anything else. There's an account thing in there but I onluy went in there to hit start back up after I paid for my subscription. You can even set upback up sets and the staff will give you instructions on how to start and stop the service via the terminal if needed.
Take care.
thank you!
Wow, I tried your control s shortcut key, and it brought to the settings, so I then thought I wonder if Control+r will bring it to the restore window view. It did. So control S this will bring you to settings, a control R will bring it to the restore View if you need to restore a file. I wonder if there are any other shortcut keys that make the views change. Four instance, how would you get to the main view. This is definitely an interesting application.
I forgot about the control r.
I forgot about the control r. Thanks for that. I don't know all of the short cuts but they do admit they do need to make some accessible changes andthey are working on that. To get to the main interface I have the app in my doc.
Take care.
