Issue with Apple Books and VoiceOver on Monterey

Well, I upgraded to Monterey this morning only to discover that VoiceOver has problems reading Apple Books. Where formerly it would read continuously and turn pages as it read, it now reads one page only and stops, necessitating manually forwarding the page. This is inconvenient and I hope they fix it.

I installed Monterey yesterday and I realized it to. I have an M 1 Mac mini and overall performance is great, but unfortunately the books app is not responsive as in Bigsur or Catalina. I hope they will fix in 12.1, because I don't want to wait for Mac OS 13.
Lastly, I reported the situation to Apple accessibility.
