I run OSX 10.115 on iMac 5k 27 inch late 2015.
I'm having a problem Voiceover crashing my computer. I use just Alex voice. Screen just goes black and reboots.
If someone does the exactly same task without Voiceover, it doesn't happen.
For example, adding input files in xcode project > build phases > Run Script.
Also it doesn't happens 100% all the time.
Looking at /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports, there are bunch of coreaudiod and a couple of kernel files.
Inside ~/Library/logs/DiagnosticReports, there are bunch of xcode and voiceover files.
I never had this problem before. It reminds me Windows. I'm not impressed with Apple lately.
Does anyone have a problem where Voiceover just stops talking, and the computer reboots?

Hi James,
I have a 13" MBP, running 10.11.5.
I frequently encounter the following two VO Bugs.
1. VO will drop a heap of settings, including typing echo and VO Sound effects. It will continue to operate in this reduced capacity until I either stop and restart VO or the Mac itself.
2. For no apparent reason, VO will simply stop and restart itself. When it does this, my session can continue with no further ill effects.
I notice the incidence of these occurring increase when I am using a lot of text applications. If I have Notes, Text Edit and Mail open concurrently I can almost guarantee it will happen.
It was unclear to me from your post whether your entire MacOS was also being shut down. That has not been my experience. .
Best regards.

Thanks for the reply. My computer completely reboots not just Voiceover.
It plays the power on sound and then displays the log in screen a few seconds after.
