how to install

I have the same machine as you and both of your questions are yes. Big sur will run on that mac book and you are able to install windows via bootcamp. that is my current setup. here is a tutorial that can assist in installing windows ten. https://www.imore.com/how-install-windows-your-mac-boot-camp it is not screen reader specific but just follow the steps and you should be able to install it. when you get to the windows 10 setup all you have to do is turn narrator on and it will guide you through the setup. hope this helps.

partition slider accessible?

With the latest big sur upgrade, has the partition slider, where you choose how much space you wanna allocate for windows accessible with VO in bootcamp assistant? I was going to redo my bootcamp if it was so but if not, it's a waist of my time to do so right now.

Hi,

From what I herd, in Big Sur, their is a bug where VO users cannot access the partition slider. I'd suggest you wait until they fix the bug.

am still on catalina, is it good?

I completely wiped the SSD on my MBP and installed Windows 10 only. And it is perfect, no issues whatsoever.

2 main problems while installing

By Ramy

I got my windows 10 Iso file from microsoft, but i had 2 main problems:
1- after my mac asking for the password and made the restart, narrator did not start, and i have to ask for sited assistance.
2- the main issue, is after i select language and everything, i found the bootcamb partetion, but when selecting it, i got a message saying that can not install because there is not free space.
this partetion is new, and am sure that it is free, so, what can i do now?

Installing Windows

You need a USB headset or other sound adapter you plug regular headphones into. This is necessary until you install the Bootcamp drivers in Windows. To get around the issue of space, select the option to format the Bootcamp partition during the install process.

how to format please?

DO not know when can i press or choose the option for formatting the desk,

When it asks you where to install Windows, select the Bootcamp partition in the list and select the format button.

The reason why you are receiving the message is because the bootcamp partition is not formatted. You'll need to format the bootcamp partition first before installing windows. Do not select the max internal drive where macOS is installed, doing so will completely wipe out your entire hard drive, so be careful. HTH.
