Keyboard remapping

Hello; I have a Macbook Air and remapped my caps lock key to simulate the vo keys quite some time ago, using the podcast on PC Keyboard Hack and another program. Both have been replaced by Seil and Karabiner. I updated to Yosemite and for a while I still got the vo key to work as before. However, now the caps lock key doesn't function. It does still say control and option when I check it with VO keyboard help, but nothing happens when I use it in conjunction with any other keys. Can anyone help? Is there a way to start over or is there anything else I can do. I find the whole process using two programs quite complicated so any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
