Hi all.
I'm currently using VLC. Maybe I'm just dumb and there's a way to do it, but what I'd like to do is be able to point it at a directory of music and say, play that. So far as I can tell, you can't though. So I'm looking for a better player, no not Apple Music.
I've tried Cog, it didn't do it either. On Windows I used Winamp and then Foobar2000 when Winamp died. So something along those lines would be nice. Or there's an easy way to do this with VLCthat I'm just missing, I'll take that too. VLC mostly works OK, except for this and the fact that you can't add your own commands, yes I know you can but the keyboard shortcuts never take. So if I could solve those two things I could just keep using that.
As an example of the latter issue, cmd-= (equal) increases speed and cmd-dash decreases it. So far as I know cmd-0 is unused as a keyboard shortcut. But if I go in and set that to make the speed normal again then say OK, it doesn't do anything. Thanks in advance for any help, I appreciate it.

Foobar2000 for MacOS
This does what you want, although if your folder changes the library isn't as fast as windows, but it mmostly is fast enough for a local library etc.
