I recently updated to Big Sur. At the same time, I updated to the latest versions of a few apps, including Pages and Numbers. Right after updating, I noticed that when arrowing through text character by character in Pages, it will occasionally skip a character. Similarly, in Numbers, when moving left to right, it will occasionally skip a column. For example, I will be on column G, I will press right arrow, and, in stead of moving to column H, I will move to column I. This could be a hardware issue with the right arrow on my keyboard. However, I didn't notice this problem until right after updating. Also, I have a 2015 MacBook Pro, bought new in late 2016. It's only about four and a half years old and it has a keyboard design which is not prone to problems. The keyboard problems didn't start until the 2016 MBPs. I am inclined to think this is a software issue. I am curious if anyone else here has had a similar experience and if anyone knows how I might fix the problem. I could use an external keyboard for a while to see if that solves the problem and that would answer my question as to whether it is a hardware or software problem. However, that would be a bit of an inconvenience and so I wanted to get any thoughts anyone here might have before trying that.
