Hi,

Everytime i plug my iPhone into my iMac, iTunes and Photos both launch on my desktop.

I am fine with iTunes launching when i plug my iPhone in, but does anybody know how i can prevent Photos from launching automatically?

Thanks!

I could be wrong, but I don't think there is a way of stopping photos from opening automatically. It's annoying for me as well.

As I recall…

As I recall from doing this once, you'll want to let Photos open. Go to the top of the window with vo-shift-home (vo-shift-left arrow on most Apple keyboards) and you should land on a toolbar. Vo-right once to the next toolbar, interact with it, and locate the checkbox. It will say something like "Open Photos when this device is connected". Uncheck that, close Photos, and you're done. As I said, I've only done this once, so I can't promise that those steps are completely accurate, but they should be.

Hi
to Mac X 10.10.5
As Mehgcap says recall from doing this once, you'll want to let Photos open
Go to the top of the window with vo-shift-home (vo-shift-left arrow on most Apple keyboards) in my case I needed add Fn VO shift left arrow.
it should land on a toolbar. Vo-right once to the next toolbar, interact with it
to navigate on it use VO left or right arrow having quick Mav ON and locate the checkbox. It will say something like "Open Photos when this device is connected". Uncheck that, close Photos, and you're done
Thanks to Mehgcap for the guide just added some update to newer version.
