Problem With Amadeus Pro After MacBook Upgrade

I just upgraded from a 2015 MacBook Pro, running Big Sir, to a 2026 M5 MacBook Air, running Tahoe. After upgrading, I am having a problem, in Amadeus Pro, where the insertion point returns to the beginning of the file when it should not. When I press command Y to move the insertion point to the play head, the insertion point does move to the play head but the play head then goes to the beginning of the file. If I use the go to location (Command G), the insertion point moves to the specified location but the play head goes to the beginning of the file. This makes editing very difficult and frustrating. I have been using Amadeus sense 2017 and I have never before encountered this issue.

On my old MacBook, I don't remember what version of Amadeus Pro I was running but I had not updated it in a while. When I got the new MacBook, I redownloaded Amadeus Pro from the app store and so started running the latest version (2.8.14). This was about a month ago. I suppose this could be a bug in the latest version of Amadeus Pro but I just checked and there is not another update currently available. I would think that a bug this big would have been corrected quickly and so I tend to doubt that this is an Amadeus Pro bug.

My old Mac was an Intel machine and my new Mac is an M5. I believe that Amadeus Pro uses Intel based code and that it runs through Rosetta on Apple silicone machines. I suppose that this could be a problem caused by this method of code execution but I think this unlikely as well. There are a whole lot of Apple silicone machines out there and I would think that such a problem would have been fixed very quickly.

Whatever the cause, the problem is there. Does anyone have any idea what may be causing it and how to fix it?
