Hello all.
I just tried Safari with Amazon.in (Me being from India ).
I am surprised that it has become very accessible.
I can navigate the lists of searchable items very comfortabally. Even placing order is fine. I am very sure I wasn't able to do this before, or I was doing something wrong. Just thought of reporting this and getting some inputs.
I will also try with chrome to see what's the case.

I cannot confirm general improvements. If I remember correctly, the issue with Amazon was caused by Amazon themselves, maybe in combination with one of the countless WebKit-related accessibility glitches.
On other pages, there are still many issues that are not yet fixed.
So I guess that the improvement you noticed has been made by Amazon, not by Apple.

I've noticed accessibility on Amazon going up and down. There was a time when it was completely inaccessible, taken over by their menu telling me about how to access the pages, none of which actually worked to access anything other than their list of accessibility keys and options. But now it's a bit more manageable again on Safari. There's some organization out there that's been getting companies to implement their accessibility toolkits, which maybe work great for PC based screen readers, but when it totally broke the MacRumors website, and I was able to find their feedback form and tell them they went from 100% accessible to completely inaccessible to VoiceOver on Mac, they acted surprised, and eventually ripped out whatever had been integrated and went back to the original. I've not seen any reference to it again on their site.

First chatgpt and now amazon, if that's what fixes the problem to a great degree then it is a good thing if we report accessibility issues to the respective companies. But this is obviously not an optimul solution. Any ways, regarding read all broken in many places including notes, I got response from apple's accessibility team and I will be sending them logs as soon as I can. Now that they are responding to me, I may as well send them a few logs on web accessibility issues as well. For example I am still not able to use grok properly.

The voiceover continuously stops, particularly on the Amazon website. The radio button on the Amazon website is not correctly labeled, but surprisingly, it works well on Windows.

I wonder how such a thing happens on Mac OS in the first place. Assuming that we are talking same OS version and same Safari version, how come difference in the experience? It surely can happen with Linux because we have so many brands and flavers. Even on Windows some inconsistency can be understood. But with Mac OS everything has to be the same right from the devise drivers till the software, isn't that so?

While most of the system is the same, drivers don't have to be and are likely not since there are plenty of different Mac configurations supported. Beyond that user preferences vary wildly, and can even be fingerprinted by websites which is an actual online tracking strategy. Even your use of dark mode or the size of your browser window can make a difference sometimes because depending on how the web site defines the layout, content can get rearranged or moved off-screen.
