Alright, so I have a couple questions that I've been trying to figure out the answers to for a couple months now, and finally decided to make a post here. Hopefully someone can answer them for me.
1. Is there a way to have notes played on an instrument sinked to the beat automatically in GarageBand? I'm using an external sound card as an input Line in, and record my keyboard that way, and even though I can stay on beat with the metronome pretty well, I never can line it up exactly, and when I add other parts in it annoys me that they're not perfectly sinked. If there was a way to have them sinked like that, it would be a life saver.
2. How do you insert a picture over an audio track in iMovie? Once I'm finished with my music projects, I import them to iMovie, and would like to have a photo stay onscreen the entire time the music is playing, but can not figure out how to do this to save my life.
HELP! lol

1. I don't know this for sure but I'm assuming that there wouldn't be a way to get music recorded via line in to sync. If the music was input using MIDI to control one of GB's virtual instruments, that would be a different story. Would be very cool if I'm wrong, though.
2. I'm doing this from memory, so hopefully I got it right...if this doesn't work, let me know.
- First, select the "My Media" button to open up the events for the project.
- Then use the "Import Media" button to import the picture(s) you want.
- Make sure the play head is at the position you want to insert the picture—so, if you want the picture to be on screen the whole time, move to the start of the project with Home (Function + left arrow on most MacBook keyboards).
- Select the picture you want in the "Events" group, then hit Q to add it to the project.
- In your project timeline, select the photo which should now be a clip in your project.
- Select "Clip Information" to edit the clip's duration, then edit the "Duration" text field to make the picture stay on screen as long as you want.

flextime on GerageBand
Logic has Flextime, and I believe GerageBand does, too. I'm not a GerageBand use though so I could be wrong. I bought Logic, knowing nothing, not even the basics of GerageBand, and never looked back. the only time I use GerageBand is when the Multimedia Apps people of Apple, tell me to opem it to fix spmething in Logic.
