macOS and Mac Apps

Hi,

i have some questions regarding Ventura, since it seems to be an interesting release:
- I am using Logic, garageband and Mainstage. Has someone experienced bugs with these programms with ventura?
- I am a big fan of the feature to use Iphone and Ipad apps on the mac as well. Are there differences, bugs or improvements or changes in ventura regarding this?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards
Niklas

Maybe someone has already experiences? I am making music in my spare time, not professional, but if there are realy big issues, I'd like to know that before.

I had a serous interface driver conflict when I installed Big Sur a couple years ago. The manufacturer of my interface took 11 months to resolve a driver conflict. During that 11 months I was unable to use the interface. You might want. to go to your interface manufacturer's web site to see if anyone has reported problems with their interface after installing Ventura.

Okay, thank you very much, that's something I should consider. And ofcourse I'll make a time machine backup of my current monterey setup, so if there are serious conflicts, i can go back if necessary.

I've used Reaper and Logic on Ventura.
They both work fine, no issues.
Regarding interfaces, there are some manufacturers that take ages to get their drivers updated.
I'm using a SSL 2 plus and it has been working fine thus far.
Can't speak about GarageBand and Mainstage, since I don't use those peaces of software, but Logic and Reaper is fine.

Though neither are officially yet certified/supported on Ventura, I can tell you beyond doubt that I am running both products mentioned in the subject of this comment in my studio, and both work, absolutely beautifully. In fact, I would even go so far to say that they are working even better here than they did in. Monterey, if that proves to be any indication.

It turns out I had bought a plug-in and when I upgraded the OS the licensing and permissions got hosed. I went to the plug-in in Applications and when I opened it, it updated the licensing and what-not and GarageBand started opening for me again. Hope this helps!

Hello
Were you using an Antares plug-in?
I’m currently having the same problem, and I uninstalled auto tune unlimited
Did opening the code meter application fix it?
Any info and help would be appreciated.

I was using a Waves compressor plug-in. I just opened the Waves application and it fixed itself. If I were you I'd open any plug-ins you have and see if they need updates.

Thanks for coming and checking this place out. We congregate here and love when the devs of our favorite games show up. There are a few match type games, some may have slightly different mechanics like merging or other stuff, but the voiceover experience is similar so I'll mention them. Some of the baby adopter games have match three minigames that are technically accessible. They are doable, but you can't swipe between individual elements. You can only explore by touch. So I wouldn't say they are the best experience. Teacup merge is another one that has great voiceover support. It's a merge game, technically, but has match three mechanics as technically you can merge more than two cups at a time, and the voiceover experience is often similar with games like this. Super tile smash is another one. That game has a number of modes. I think it's still availlable, but I could be wrong. Pattern play story is another one. There are a few other puzzle games that demonstrate the kind of voiceover support we need. We need to be able to swipe between the different elements in the puzzle. We need to be able to explore by touch and find the elements if we want. We need to be able to match the pieces effectively. So it can be done I think. The one other minigame that can be fixed is the agility course. That needs a direct touch area somewhere so the aplication can handle the gestures instead of voiceover. I think that would fix that one, but I could be wrong. I love the mysteries, and the cozy atmosphere of your game. Keep up the great work.
