recovering an erased Bootcamp partition

macOS and Mac Apps

Hello everyone,

I was attempting to delete the recovery partition for my mac through the terminal application. I entered the wrong hdd identifier in the terminal command, thus erasing the bootcamp partition of my mac's hard drive by accident. I'm sure the data is still there, because I didn't repartition the drive. The mac now refers to this drive as "erased disk" Does anyone know of an accessible way to recover this partition and restore Windows?

I found this tool that has worked for another Bootcamp user who ran into this same issue. It's called TestDisk (link is below.) It runs in the terminal, and that's how all of it's commands are issued, but the documentation was too complicated for me to understand. If anyone could help with this I'd greatly appreciate it. :)

Thanks so much,

Rocco
