I need some help trying to reset my user password. I can get to the recovery part , but when I type in the terminal text box reset password I don't know how to get to the area to finish the process. It says its in the background to reset password. I appreciate the help to reach the area to reset my password.

Thanks

After launching the reset password app from Terminal, you should be able to use the application chooser menu, accessed by pressing VO-Function-F1 (or VO-Function-1 if you're using a Mac with a Touch Bar) to move VoiceOver focus to that window.

Hey thanks it worked and I was able to reset my password. One question , Will it be saved to my keychain on my Mac?

Thank you

My understanding is that because the Login keychain is protected by your login password, the data stored in it will no-longer be accessible after that password is reset. When logging into your Mac with your new password, you may have gotten a prompt to reset your keychain, which will create a new, empty Login keychain protected by your new password.

I'm not sure what effect, if any, this has on your iCloud Keychain.
