Search Text in Speech Central

macOS and Mac Apps

Hi guys,

I about a week ago bought Speech Central for the Mac to try to get better PDF-Support with VO. For general reading of Articles it is pretty cool. Since I have to work with long documents such as guidelines and entire laws I was hoping I could search for a specific string of text and be navigated there.

I tried with a sighted person pressing the command key plus f, which opens a search field. Searching highlights the passage of text in the document. But there is no way to jump to that section with VO or start playback from that specific point in the document.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thank you and have a great day!
Dennis

I was pointed to that problem few months ago here. I am the developer of the app.

The current plan is to include that feature in a big app update that should come by the end of the year.

Many other nice improvements are hopefully coming too. But as this is based on a completely new app code the current version won’t receive much of the updates till then.
