Selecting Multiple Contacts in certain apps on mac

Hi,
I can't seem to figure out how to select multiple contacts in the apps where you can add contacts from your contact list. I'm trying to add multiple contacts to bitlife on my m1 mac, upwards of 700 contacts to be specific, but another example of where I can't select multiple contacts is when adding contacts to a text message. Is there a way to select multiple contacts on the mac to add to something, in my case, custom people in bitlife? I can add multiple contacts to bitlife on iOS, but I can't seem to be able to do this on mac.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)
