simulating a right mouse click with VoiceOver off

macOS and Mac Apps

I work with VoiceOver on and off, depending on what I am doing. On a windows PC the application key can be used to simulate a right mouse click causing a menu to be shown. this is particularly useful when you have misspelt a word and wish to correct it quickly. Is there any key equivalent on a Mac or do i have to reach for the mouse each time or turn on VO to use the VO shortcut.
