Hi all,

After being away from a Mac for a few years, I have acquired a MacBook Air 11 inch now. I was just wondering as to the current state of Kindle on the Mac?
can we now read content? I would have thought that by now, this would have been the case?
if not does it work in Big Sur?

I tried it about 5 months ago running Catalina, and I couldn't even log in. I suppose you could give it another try, but I'm not very confident in Amazon's accessibility.

I tried this just now and at least for me this is still not working. If anyone has had different results, please advise.

The newer macs can run iOS apps. Does the Kindle iOS app not work either?

Kindle has its own shortcut keys to read speech. As long as you don't plan on doing any critical reading or reading with braille, it's okay. You will need to use the VO mouse keyboard shortcuts to focus on the books you want to read unless you specifically want to read your last opened book. I prefer Kindle on my phone or iPad anyway.
