After I updated to Catalina, the tone that lets me know that Siri is listening is gone. How can I turn it back on?

there doesn't seem to be a way to do that. I beta tested Catalina, and never found a way to restore this tone. I'm still beta testing Catalina updates, hand have just reported this issue as a bug.

Only way is to ware headsets or headphones

I have also reported this bug (if it is a bug in the first place) to apple accessibility team. As of now, the only way I can get the Siri tone is if I am wearing my headphones. Thankfully, at least the tone is present there.
