Good day. I have the latest build of El Capitan and am noticing that when I press FN twice and hear the tone when I speak text it does not appear in the document. I've tried this with the built in mic and a headset mic and nothing appears. Anyone have an idea? This has worked in Yosemite. Thanks.

I seldom use dictation, but in response to your post I thought I'll give it a go. In Fact, I'm using dictation to create this post.
I wouldn't say that it has been an outstanding success, but on my version of El Capitan it seems to work after interacting with the field and a double press of the function Keys.
Maybe check your Speech and Dictation settings in System Preferences?

Doesn't work for me either. Even after updating to the latest version of El capitan that included some bug fixes.
I've enabled enhanced dictation as well though. Has it got something to do with this problem?
