Voiceover help

Does anybody know how to get voiceover to stop saying things like “black align right”? I’m not sure why it does this for me and any help would be greatly appreciated. I’m running high sierra on a MacBook Pro. Could it be a setting I have in verbosity?

Thanks :)

Press VO+v and use the left or right arrow until you hear text attributes. Press the up and down arrow until you hear "do nothing" and press enter to save the changes.
