I'm writing this in a hurry. Is there a way to copy a chat transcript from a skype chat? I need it for proof of something. I can't go into any detail, but thanks.

If you move into the chat log and press command-A, that will select the entire conversation, which can then be pasted into TextEdit or wherever. Hope this helps.

Actually, that's the first thing I tried. I could select all of it but command c did nothing. It just dinged at me. I could not copy the trnscript, hence could not paste it.

This has happened to me before. when command c to copy something doesn't work, try restarting your computer. It should work just fine after restarting.

Or you can also copy each last spoken item to the clipboard and pasting it somewhere else, though this takes up more time, but it will work as well.

Restarting did not work for me. Even restarting skype did not. They redid the chat buffer in skype. I checked with the skype community as well, but the server for some reason could not be found. Lol!

thats odd, just tried copying the chat in Skype with command c, and it worked for me.

on the chat that you want to copy, interact with the grid where the messages are, then select all and copy. This, at least, worked for me.
