Back in February, I logged the below feedback report against MacOS 15.3. I would think it would have been an easy fix, but 15.6 still exhibits this behavior.
If you're on the Tahoe beta and can verify this issue is still present, I would appreciate it if you opened a feedback report against the beta.
Here's the text of my feedback report:
The heading level announced in the VoiceOver web rotor does not obey the settings in the VoiceOver Utility custom verbosity.
To reproduce:
1. Open VO Utility and go to Verbosity, Speech tab, and Custom Verbosity.
2. In the custom verbosity table, customize Headings, and uncheck the heading level or reorder it so that it is announced last.
3. Open a web page with headings.
4. Press VO+U and left or right arrow to the Headings menu. Use up and down arrow to have VoiceOver announce the headings.
Expected behavior: The heading level will either not be announced, or will be announced last, after the heading text - depending on how you configured it in step 2.
Actual incorrect behavior: The heading level always precedes the heading text and the heading level cannot be disabled.
Please modify MacOS so that web rotor heading levels obey custom verbosity settings. Thanks.
