hey all,
I'm just curious to know what people on the Mac are using to access mastodon.
In my case, I am either using Pinafore through the browser and for an app i'm using tweesecake which I am not completely sold on as yet.

Hi,
I haven't found anything for the desktop that works well, yet anyway. Tweesecake dislikes my M1 MacBook Air, why I have no idea.
pinafore actually does exactly what you need to have done. I really like the site. On the Windows side, however, Tweesecake and even TWBlue works very well.
Love pinafore
Thanks for this, I have played around with Pina for a little bit and I must say, I love it a lot.
Pinafore and Tweesecake But...
I haven't done much with Mastodon yet, but I did try and install Tweesecake and ran into an issue. I emailed their tech support, and heard back from Josh but haven't had a chance to follow up with him or try re-installing their app. Pinafore looks okay, but it seems to me that the instances which I checked out are accessible enough with VoiceOver on their respective websites. Mastodon is a cool idea though, and I hope to do more with it when I move back downstairs in this building. This week's issue of "Top Tech Tidbits" contains a link to another guide for Mastodon, and when I have more time I'm going to look at it in depth.
Tusker
Hi there. If you're on an M1 mac, there's a new upcoming mastodon app called Tusker that's available right now on testflight. https://vaccor.space/tusker
Also, there's another one that's looking pretty promising as well, called Mastoot. It's in the App Store, but will also probably only work on Silicon mac.
Thanks so much for these app suggestions.
Thanks so much for these, have chucked on TestFlight so I'm going to play with Tosca first.
Tusker
Thank you for giving the link to Tusker. I had been hearing about it but didn't know how to get it.
