Thanks for commenting, I’m glad I’m not the only one.
Hopefully they can get this new filtering system working correctly, because it looks really interesting and like a much better way to navigate the site.
Hi, I also use it. I haven’t had a look at the new filtering system yet but when I do, I’ll also email them about accessibility. Hopefully it should be working soon!
I can never find completed stories easily on that site so I tend to stick with fanfiction.net, but that site is starting to be really picky about the type of stories they except.
I registered on that site a few years ago because it's one of the services that is enabled by default to connect to Dreamwidth, where I host my journal. I actually posted something up on AO3, but one of the mods emailed and informed me that it violated part of their ToS and for me to please remove it. After a bit of searching I finally figured out how to do so and deleted the post. But their site just seems to be rather cluttered with VoiceOver and Chromevox Classic. It was pretty accessible but cluttered. I've given a bit of thought to emailing Dreamwidth Studios, LLC about this, but I think perhaps I'll wait and go back to AO3 first. There doesn't seem to be a mobile site.
I have found a workaround for the time being, it’s a pain to do but it works.
In the additional tags category, you can type in the tags you want to include or exclude and then filter based on that.
I hope they have a solution soon, though.
I've been emailing back and forth several times with OTW Support since the day before this was originally posted. I just got another email earlier saying that the coders are still looking into what the problem could be and are hoping to make some adjustments that will fix the issue. I was told that they'll let me know when the change(s) have been implemented.

Hey, I also use AO3. I've already emailed them about the new filtering option not working correctly. Is that what you were going to ask about?
That’s exactly it

I Agree
Hopefully they'll be able to fix it. It looks like we'll have a lot more control over what content we don't want to see.
I have now sent an email to them explaining the problem
Hopefully, if more people speak out, this problem can be resolved although I’m not sure if I described it in a way that sighted people can understand.
I do

No fix yet, however

I Just Got Some Good News from OTW Support
