You can install an ad blocker like AdGuard which block pop-up ads and YouTube pre-roll ads.
I don't believe YOuTube transcripts are universal on the platform, but you can turn on captioning by pressing C on the keyboard while a video is playing. VoiceOver will read the captions, but you should know these captions are generated by speech-to-text so they're not always accurate. Also, VoiceOver will be speaking over any speech content in the video.
With the Safari browser, have you tried reader view? On Mac, you can toggle it on or off with Command+Shift+R. On iOS, I think there's an icon on the left side of the address bar.
Yes. You need to get Google Chrome. It’s on the App Store and it’s free and it’s accessible and it’s available on the iPad. I say someone should have as many browsers as they can. I’ve come across these ads, and I hate them. What I recommend that you do is you get an ad blocker called Adguard Pro. It costs $10 USD. And it is accessible, and available on the iPad as well. But, it's worth it. I bit the bullet, and spent the money on it, and it's been worth every single one of those $10 USD I spent on it. I'd say do all of these suggestions for ads.
As for transcripts on YTube videos, I didn't know they were even a thing! Can anyone tell me how to get the transcript of videos on the IOS. app! I'd love if you could do that! I didn't even know that was a thing! :-)
So if I’m not mistaken rid of you can be accessed from either the button at the top of the address bar, or there’s a button in the formatting options section where you can activate it, and you can even choose what sites show up and read reviews I’m not mistaken. Could be wrong though. And I’m writing this on an iOS 14 device. So maybe that shouldn’t be something I talk about. But that’s what it is right now.
