I have a Fire TV Cube but suspect someone may have dropped it as it's not working any more. So, with Prime Day coming up, unless I can find some magic way to get it to work, I am debating whether to stick with the Cube or try Apple TV.
One thing the Fire TV has is a built-in Zoom app. I have a little LogiTech webcam sitting on top of the TV and it works pretty well.
My understanding with Apple TV is that you can't use a webcam with it, but you can use the iPhone with continuity camera. There is also the option of FaceTime which I'm guessing isn't on the Cube.
Has anyone tried making video calls with Apple TV in this way? If so, how does it work with VoiceOver? With my webcam I know it's pointing in the right direction so I don't need to do anything. With an iPhone, I would have to probably use some kind of stand, and then I'm not sure how I would know if it is pointing in the right direction.
Any insights would be most welcome!
