watchOS and Apple Watch Apps

Hello,
I got myself an Apple watch Ultra 2 last month for my birthday & love it, but for some strange reason, It's not finding today's update of WatchOS 11.4.
I keep checking & it just tells me that 11.3.1 is the latest.
has anyone else seen this?

Did you check via your phone instead of watch. Is your iOS 18.4?

Hello,
Yes, I beta tested iOS 18.4 & installed today's official update.
What else might I try?

Before do a restart of the watch, use the phone to check for update for the watch.

The 9 to 5 Mac publication updated their report on the watchOS release to say it has been pulled by Apple. Doesn't show for me either.

Hi,
I hadn't seen that anywhere.
I'm curious to know why Apple pulled the update?

Have on my watch 9. I downloaded it as the RC and now is the public version.

Hi,
Should I enable the setting to receive beta updates then?
I plan to test betas in the future, but 11.4 would've been the very first update for my new watch & I didn't want to risk bricking it.

Hi KE8UPE,

The update appears to have been initially released, then pulled. The release of watchOS 11.4 was something that I was reasonably confident about having seen in the mainstream media, but nevertheless it is something that I should have double-checked before posting our own announcement. I am sorry for the confusion.

Hi Micheal,
Someone said they got the update by enabling betas.
Should I try that?
I plan to test them in the future anyway.

Hi KE8UPE,

You definitely could try enabling betas. However, my guess is that there is likely a good reason they pulled the update; so it might be better to just wait for 11.4 to be released to the public. watchOS beta is a whole different animal because you cannot downgrade the software if something goes wrong.

I too noticed yesterday, when trying to update the watch that it kept telling me that Watch OS 11.3.1 was the latest version available, and although I was very confused, after checking AppleVis and noticing that others had the same issue and that Apple had pulled it, I was glad to see I wasn't losing my mind. LOL

Hi Michael,
I've tested watchOS betas before & am fully aware that downgrading, once a beta is installed, is impossible.
Thanks for posting that anyway, as others may not have been aware.

The RC beta more likely is no longer there. When I got it on Friday, I turn of beta off to avoid betas that I did not want. No issues with watch 9 so far.

As I commented on the other post I neighter saw the WatchOS update. I don't think it's a model problem since I don't have a Ultra watch, I got an Apple Watch Se instead. Only thing is, the only way I looked is through the Watch application on my associated iPhone, but I don't think that makes any difference at all.
Bye!
