Hey, does anyone know how I can stop my series 1 Apple Watch from restarting every time I put it on the charge? The battery is not that low, but it still does it. I know its really late at night, but the blasted thing keeps waking me up with VO talking. The battery is up past 80s something, but it’s still doing it. It doesn’t do it when it’s actually not on the charger, it only happens when it is on it. One of my friends upgraded her old watch to a new one, so I now have her old series one watch. Yes, I know series one is very old, but it was working perfectly fine up till now. Every time I put it on the charger, it does that.

Restart
Do a force restart to see if that may help. Do not know how you do it with Siri 1.
Tried that
I’ve tried that both on and off the charger, but it still does it.
Apple
You might want to take it to apple.
RE: Series one Apple Watch keeps restarting when on charger
A couple of suggestions... First, whenever I remove my watch from my wrist, to place it on the charger, the first thing I do is to wipe it clean from sweat and dirt, on my shirt. The body generates a lot and I just want to ensure good, clean contact when charging. If you have an alcohol wipe, try cleaning it good and then do something similar with your shirt, LOL, or a clean cloth, before placing it back onto the charger.
Second, the charging cable could be going bad.
Third, when you are going to charge the device, simply turn off VO. then you won't hear it.
Finally, since the device truly is obsolete, I would suggest trying to get yourself into something newer. I'm facing the same thing with my Series 3, as of the release of iOS16. the problem may not be related to any of the above, but rather a software issue, which can no longer be addressed, as both of our watches are no longer being updated. Also, since the software is out of date, it could potentially cause a security issue, as well.
Just my thoughts. Here's hoping you get an uninterrupted nights slep soon.
