watchOS and Apple Watch Apps

Hi, I’ve had my Apple Watch for a little under a year now and I’ve begun recently having an issue that I’m hoping someone can help me with. my voiceover has quit speaking I’m not sure if I’m bumping the face of the watch or exactly what’s happening but voiceover stop speaking and all the settings are turned on voiceover is on volume is up ET see there seems to be nothing wrong just no speech. Can someone help me. The only way that I found to fix the problem is to let the battery run down and charge the watch then voiceover comes back. any insights would be helpful. Thanks for any suggestions in advance.

A possible fix

Hello,
When this happens hold down both the digital crown and the side button for 10 seconds this should power off and on again the watch. Voiceover should start speaking again when it comes back on. This is what I have had to do when I lose speech but voiceover is still on.

Force Restart

I’ve also encountered this issue. A quick and effective workaround is to force a restart by holding down the crown and side buttons together until the Apple logo appears (about 10-30 seconds). It’s basically the same thing as letting the battery run down, but it’s a lot faster.

Thanks

Thank you so much will give it a try right now. I haven’t found the instruction manual to be very helpful.

I’ve done this a couple of times myself.

I’ve also only had my watch for a few months. When this happens to me, I don’t know how I do it, but three finger double tap. That’s the same gesture you use on iPhone when you turn speech on and off voiceover is still on. Only the thing left for me now… Is to figure out how to wear my watch so that when I do push-ups it doesn’t constantly hit the dial on the side, lol.

Melissa, I did try the three…

Melissa, I did try the three finger double tap and I also tried turning Siri back on or skews me voiceover back on by tapping the digital crown neither of those worked so I think somehow the watch is being bumped maybe turning onto mute? As far as doing push-ups I would move the watch further up your arm loosen the band a little bit when you put it on. The other option would be to turn the watch face around so that it faces the inside of your arm so that your bend in your wrist doesn’t keep bumping it. Hope that helps
