Dear All,

I have attempted to cover all the mac voiceover keystrokes in combination with the alphabet keys, function keys and along with the modifier keys in the form of a table for ready reference.

In the AppleVis help section, there's a topic which describes how to obtain a link to an app in the iTunes store. I have a more simple procedure which will also help you search for interesting apps. In to google, type the information you are seeking, for example "SIP client iPhone" or "app compatible voiceover" or "text adventure iPhone" Don't include the quotes unless you want to match an exact phrase. After that, type iTunes, and submit your search. You can then copy the link from your address bar, after you've located the appropriate page through google.

Are you a Mac user, and a fan of audio games? Does it make you angry that there are only a few audio games for the Mac, and that you need Windows just to kill some zombies or play cards? Do you not have access to Windows, and find yourself suffering from game withdrawal? Well, my friends, I have great news: your suffering may be at an end! That's right, I'v been playing my favorite audio game, Swamp for a week now, and I've done it using only my Mac.

Not everyone knows that all Macs come with a full-featured chess game. Even fewer know that this game is completely accessible, and can even pull some nice tricks to make the experience better for the visually impaired. Below, I will explain the different ways to move around the board, make moves, get help, and set up the game to speak hints and moves. Please note that you do not need to know how to play chess to read this article. In fact, once you know how to use the app, you can use the hints feature to help learn the game.

Hello everyone!
Ever since I switched to the Mac, I've only really had one regret. I wished to play some of my old favorite audio games on the Mac. Parallels is a bit overcomplicated and resource heavy for my needs, but I've discovered with crossover by code weavers:
https://www.codeweavers.com/crossover
one can actually play a lot of audio games on the Mac.
Some caveats:
1. anything that needs sapi5 is out.

I want to share my current knowledge on achieving this. There may be better ways but this is what I know right now and it works! Follow the recipe below. It may not give you great lasagna but it will give you voiceover on any pdf file you want or need to read on your Mac!
1) Use ‘Preview’ to view the pdf document
2) Make sure you have ‘Single Page’ selected on Preview’s ‘View’ drop-down menu – You may also choose to ‘View Thumbnails’ of the pdf pages

As a Voiceover user, the Simplenote app by Automatic is an app I use daily. It's free and are versions for IOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux and in a browser.

Your notes sync seamlessly between platforms, no extra steps required.

You can read all about it here but I will focus on two features I find most useful as a Voiceover user of the IOS app in particular.

The default Mail app on the Mac is easy enough to use once you set up your mail accounts. You up and down arrow through your messages, press delete to trash some, and… Wait, how do you read messages? Enter? VO-J? Use the preview? When writing a message, how do you choose contacts, or add multiple contacts to a field? Why is it so hard to view attachments? How do you add mailboxes to your favorites bar, so you can access them with hotkeys? Okay, so Mail isn't as simple as it first seems, but that's why AppleVis exists.

In my last guide on Pages and design, I described how visual documents appear with font variations and how you can manipulate fonts, sizes, styling and more so your documents can look aesthetically pleasing to your sighted colleagues.

In this guide, I’ll describe how you can quickly apply styles and customize them in your documents. Nothing here requires advanced VoiceOver skills, however you may wish to use hotspots to jump around a bit faster in Pages.
