Jabra Street2 bluetooth headset

Posted on Wednesday 3 April 2013

This accessory is a small remote control which can be used to transform wired headsets in wireless ones.
It doesn't of course eliminate cables. But this small rectangular object has a 3.5 mm jack on its side, so, traditional headphones or headsets can be attached there, even older headphones with no microphone in them, and you have a complete set including:
- a multi-use rectangular key which works as on/off/pairing, siri activation, answer/reject/redial call. This button has a small phone receiver printed over it, so it can be easily distinguished touching it with fingers;
- a pair of square buttons one with plus and one with minus on them, they increase and decrease volume;

LG BHS-700 Bluetooth Headset with earbuds

LG BHS-700 Bluetooth headset with earbuds
I love this set. It just lays around your neck and the earbuds magnetically attach to the around-the-neck piece to keep them from getting in the way. It is perfect if you want to avoid tangling cords and have quick access to your headset. The only thing that would make it better is for it to be invisible, LOL!
You can control your music, answer and end calls, use Siri, etc., from the neck piece. The battery gets me through all day without recharging. Have paired it with my iPhone and works while my Braille display is also paired and connected.

Plantronics M50

Posted on Tuesday 6 November 2012

I've had this headset for quite a while, and but for one issue it works great. When I purchased it this headset was the most inexpensive single ear headset with A2DB. This means it is compatible with VoiceOver as well as playing music, audio books, podcasts, Etc. There is an actual power switch so there is no doubt whether the headset is turned on or off. The volume is loud enough in every situation except when at a busy street corner. The people I have talked to say they can't tell I'm on a Bluetooth headset which I think is as good as I can ask for. The headset is tiny and has a non-replaceable battery. It charges via micro USB in about an hour and the charge lasts at least a day of continuous listening and several days on stand by.

Jabra Stone 2

a very small and comfortable headset.
It has one single button, with the following functionalities:
1. a very long press turns the jabra stone 2 on or off. It has all English-spoken audible messages.
2. when on, a short press tells the battery status: high, medium, low.
3. a short press while the phone is ringing: answers the current call
4. a short press during a call: ends the call. the voice will say, call ended.
5. 2 fast short presses while the phone is not in a call: the headset says "redialing", and calls the last number found in the phone recent calls.
6. 2 short presses while the phone rings: rejects the current call.
