Accessibility Comments

It is not possible to set the alarm time; the default is 6:00. There is no way to determine if settings are checked. Setting the alarm tone and sound scapes are easily done. Viewing the help file was difficult at first (parts wouldn't display and the phone would just make a clicking noise ). However, it could have been a fluke with my phone since I was able to read the help file with no problems later on. Graphs under the sleep lab tab are inaccessible since they use color codings. Voiceover will announce average bedtime, hours slept, and sleep efficiency. Creating an account in the app is easily done . There is no indication that data has synced after pressing "sync sleep data". The four tabs across the bottom from left to right are: sleep lab, alarm, sound scape, and settings. After double tapping the alarm time, press "sound scape off upp" button when you are ready to sleep. The Azumio website could be easier to navigate and use, and I have not figured out if there is a way to login to view my data online.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads most page elements.

Button Labeling

Most buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

There are some accessibility issues with this app, but it can still be used if you are willing to tolerate these issues and learn how to work around them.

Other Comments

Sleep Time has great potential, but it would be worth waiting to get the app until accessibility improvements are made. Even though the description says that the app is free, I still had to pay $0.99.

I use the Instant Heart Rate app made by the same people and it does work reasonably well. This app was featured in the Apps Gone Free app so I gave it a try. I do have a little vision so I could see what needed to be done to set the alarm, but I did contact them and ask that they consider implementing Voiceover support. I can see what needs to be done, and I can do it, but it involves turning Voiceover off, and with my limited vision, just because I can do it doesn't mean it's easy. If you're interested in this app, contact them along with me and maybe they'll see it worth their time to do it.
