So first off I want to say that I'm not trying to start an argument or offend anyone with this, so please don't take it that way. Just for the record, miled game spoilers are ahead. So in I believe stage six of the Circus Master's Revenge, there is an enemy called the hound clown. I believe these are not actually dogs, but they really do sound like them, enough so that both me and my girlfriend erased the game due to not wanting to shoot them. Same with the ducks in the endless mode. As a gamer, I really love playing these types of games, but not when it involves killing animals, or things that sound a heck of a lot like animals. I don't know. I'm sorry this has gotten so long, but I really would like to play this game but I don't feel right about it. This isn't the only game either. Many games had that and me and several others don't find that good. So what are people's thoughts on this?

As long as they’re not real
As long as they’re not real animals, I don’t have a problem. If we were actually shooting animals, no one would play the game
Yikes
I should probably be in jail for killing both humans and animals alike, not to mention invading other dimensions in order to do so.
I know it’s
Yeah, I know of course it’s not real. I don’t know, I just, don’t like it. And again, I wanted to reiterate that I’m not trying to say what’s right or wrong, I’m just stating the opinion and you know, wondering what other thoughts are. And add, number two, yeah, for killing humans, I would also definitely be in jail for life.
agree with others
I don't mind. I mean, its not real. In real life though? I wouldn't be able to pull the trigger and kill an animal. I mean, shooting at a target is one thing; but an animal? I couldn't bring myself to do it. I do understand where your comming from though. I don't mind it, personally, its a game, but to each his own
I'm not bothered by this either
I'm not bothered by this either. It's only a game, after all. In real life, I could never bring myself to shoot an animal or a human.
Dogs have been enemys for.
Quite a while now. they have been used as fast and punch packing opponents since the start of video games, mensioning Resident Evil 2, Call of duty, GTA and what not, the same with wolves. Be real, almost every RPG has a wolf enemy somehwere and it's mostly one of the first enemys you face.
while I agree that they are just digital and not real, with me I notice a tendency that I am able to shoot humans without that big of a thought, not the same with animals though. In GTA V I don't mind running over humans in the street, but if a deer or dog is on the road, I due swerve out of the way there.
So yeah, they're just digital, you shouldn't mind.
In real life. If the situation is dire and an animal is in pain without any chance of healing, I certainly would pull the ttrigger to put it out of it's miserry, better that then saying oh, I can't do this, I could never shoot an animal.
Greetings Moritz.
Games sounds and enamies.
My opinion on this subject is: if I had to kill an animal for food that is different from the video game. Video games are not reality and we should not treat them as such. To see a video game as reality is indicative of psychological problems. My opinion on this subject is: if I had to kill an animal for food that is different from the video game. Hopefully
Hopefully it's not a seeing eye hound.
Not every game is for
Not every game is for everyone. I tend to agree with the OP in that I dislike the seemingly over abundance of shooter games. Because of that, I never played audio defense, and likewise won't be playing this one either. But that's okay. I'll just find something else to play that's more my thing.
I've always found this interesting
There's often disclaimers in movies "No animals were harmed in the making of this film". WHile that's certainly a good thing, I always wonder why violence against animals is so strongly condemned, but violence against humans is not as much. Don't get me wrong, I think "real" violence against anything for violence's sake is bad, but the distinction has always fascinated me. In the end, I can easily separate violence in my entertainment with violence in reality, and I guess except in very particular contextual circumstances, it's never really bothered me.
