Adjusting Speed Rate of Voices in iOS 13.1.1

Hello AppleVis,

I have attempted to search the web for a solution. So I hope one of you could assist. For some reason, I can no longer adjust the speed rate of voices on iOS 13.1.1. It doesn't matter which voices I use, whether they're Apple's Siri voices or Vocalizer voices, they're all staying at the same speed. I want to speed them up. What do you think the reason may be for this problem?

I have also experienced this. It is in my system default voice. No matter what I do I cannot change the speed of the voice.

Well, there is one way. Let me give you my example.

I have Karen set as the default voice for Voiceover as my default roter language. Of course Karen is an Australian voice. Then for the Australian voice in my roter, I have the Siri female voice. If I want to change the speed of my default voice, I have to roter over to language, flick over to the Australian voice, roter to speech rate, change it there, roter bac to language, flick back to my default voice, and it has the new rate I want.

I have iOS 13.1.2 and I can change the speed as normal under settings > accessibility >voiceover.

Hello all,

The first suggestion worked. The second suggestion isn't working, even though I have updated to iOS13.1.2.
