Hi all,
I've recently discovered that earlier this month, Facebook launched a desktop Messenger application for the Mac. Having downloaded it, I'm having some accessibility issues, notably navigating with VoiceOver; I'm unable to access the main content of the app using the typical VO commands, although tabbing around does seem to work in regards to navigating -- although this is, as I'm sure you can imagine, tedious and far from ideal. Has anyone had any success in using this app, and if so, are there any tips you can send my way?

the router is key
to navagate the facebook messenger app, you need to change your router to links. quicknav needs to be own for this navagation to work. each friend will be a link, and use the router to get to the top of this list. VoiceOver is tipicly very slow and sluggish in this app.
Still Problematic
When I open the messenger app, I'm unable to navigate to the main content of the app, and am hence unable to get to a point where links appear on my rotor. Using control-option left/right arrows, I'm only able to find the 'Close', 'Minimise', and 'Full Screen' buttons -- no main app content. Is there a way to navigate to this? as I say, if I use tab, I'm able to get VoiceOver to read button titles etc, but still can't navigate to them in the traditional way, and still unable to get to a point where the rotor reflects the app content, if that makes sense.
remote access
hello,
I can remotely access your mac and see what's going on if you want. have you logged into the messenger app with Facebooik?
Struggling Here Too
Hi. I downloaded it yesterday too as I wanted to use it for a remote Ukulele lesson. I did manage to get everything installed and downloaded and even managed to make a call but couldn't answer a call when it came through to me. I ended up going back to messenger on my iPhone which wasn't ideal as it really drained my battery. I'd like to get his sorted if I an and also find a way to record my session so that I can go back to it for practice purposes
