Hi All
The other day I found out you can mute VoiceOver on the watch without turning it off. It acts the same way as it
does on iOS.
For the last few days I have kept my watch muted, only unmuting to check the time or look at notifications.
is this a new VoiceOver feature? or has it always been there? Either way, I’ve never come across it before and love it already!
Has this feature been there all along? or is it new? If it is new, they kept it very quiet.
Answers on a postcard please!!! :)

How is this done?
Three finger double-tap does not mute speech on my watch as it does on the iPhone. How are you getting this feature to work?
That's exactly what I'm…
That's exactly what I'm doing, though. Three-finger double-tap. I'm on Watch OS 7 though, so not sure if that makes a difference.
Wow! So it does work. Who…
Wow! So it does work. Who new? I didnt think the watch could recognize three-finger gestures. Maybe that's new in watchOS7.
It works like on the iPhone
Hi, for those that asked how it works, the justure works like on an iPhone with Boice Over runing. It’s hard too doo this sometimes because the size of screen but it’s defenetly possible.
Doesn't work on my series 4
Three finger tripple tap does toggle digital crown navigation mode, but two finger double tap does nothing.
Same here as matthew
Neither in my series 4. in fact it is a little weird to make a three-fingers gesture in the watch face, even when I have small fingers.
Not working here either
Doesn't work on my Series 4 with latest OS. Even phoned Apple Accessibility to ask if there is a trick to it. They didn't know of it and could not duplicate it either. Would be interested to hear more on who has this working; Watch version, OS version etc. Would be cool to have working.
Not on version 4
Can't make this work on version 4
Why
You do not need to unmute VO to check the time, tap single finger 2 times to get the time via haptic. 3 times just the minutes.
