Hello,
I’m hoping someone could help me with this. Recently in the last few days when I opened the Twitter app and try to read my timeline voice-over reads tweets in a very strange way. I have tried it on multiple devices and I’m having the same problem, however it seems like other people that I have spoken to do not have that issue, so I wonder if there is a setting I need to change somewhere. below is the example of how voice-over reads every tweets no matter in which section of the app I’m in.

Additional information: I am running the latest version of Twitter and running iOS 14.4.1.
I’m sorry if this issue has already been mentioned on this site, if it has could someone point me to the relevant thread?

Same here
I'm seeing the same here since the latest Twitter update.
It appears that VoiceOver is “seeing” and speaking strings of text from the underlying app coding which aren't visually present. As these strings typically appear multiple times in every tweet, it makes one suspect that nobody at Twitter actually tested this update with VoiceOver enabled.
Same here
I am also experienceing this issue. It's so annoying!
Questions
Hi,
What version of Twitter are you all on? Not having this issue but may not have downloaded the latest update. Also, if you have set does this happen on the lock screen re notifications?
Glad I'm not the only one
I'm glad I'm not the only one with this issue.
In response to your questions, I have the latest version of Twitter on my phone, and this does not happen on the notifications. But yes, it seems that someone has not tested this update with accessibility, mind you I am also aware that this issue doesn't happen to every single user.
reported to Twitter?
Have you reported this to Twitter? I am not doubting that you are having a problem, but if Twitter doesn't know its a bug they can't fix it.
You can go to account then settings & privacy and then about Twitter to report a problem. There is a little form to fill out. Please, everyone having the issue report it!
Fixed
This issue is now resolved for me, so I assume that Twitter was able to fix it server-side rather than needing to release an update to the app.
