I am having a strange problem with Siri on my apple watch. I see that the Siri voice is turned on in the phone watch app, but when I go to settings on my watch itself, it says turned off. I try to turn it on, but it defaults back to off. Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong? I'd love to change my voice to Siri male if I can. I also saw something about it being downloaded to the watch, but I have never seen anything that tells me to download it. I guess I'm a little confused.

I'm haviing this problem too
I'm also having this problem too since I upgrade to the Apple Watch 6. It changed to it fine on my old 4, but my 6 is doing exactly the same thing. I thought at first it was because I hadn't downloaded the voices, because if I go in to siri settings, it asks me to download them and then claims it has, but then if I go out and back in again, it tries to start downloading the voices again like it never downloaded them in the first place, so I found out that couldn't have been the problem. I hope it's just a bug that might be fixed in the next update.
glad I'm not alone. and another issue
So I also noticed another problem. I thought watchOS7 was supposed to have braille options. Not only will the Siri voice not work, but my braille options are not there.
still no fix
Sadly, none of the updates have fixed this issue. My watch still uses the standard VO voice and not Siri. More odd still, I know the Siri voice is downloaded, because when Siri responds it works.
Siri
When I was using my series 5 with my 11 pro max, I manage to use siri male voice for the watch and phone to respond to my questions and at the watch as default for voiceover. However when I upgrated to 12 pro and pear my watch, Samanta pop up and siri male is not working on the watch.
Hurray! I'm not the only one…
Hurray! I'm not the only one having this issue.
What is the procedure?
Hi everyone, I’m just wondering how to activate the Siri voice for voice over on my Apple Watch series 7. Can anyone give me a hand here?
Re: What is the procedure?
Hello.
Firstly, go into Settings on your Apple Watch.
Swipe to and double-tap Siri.
Swipe left until you get to Siri Voice.
Double tap here and choose the voice you want to use by double-tapping it.
For the voice to download your Apple Watch needs to be on its charger, so you may like to download the voice when you charge the watch as you normally do.
After a while the voice should have been downloaded.
Now go back into Settings on the Apple Watch, navigate to Accessibility and double-tap it.
Navigate to VoiceOver and double-tap.
Swipe right until you get to Siri Voice. If the voice was downloaded, you should be able to double-tap to turn it on.
Hopefully your watch is now using your chosen Siri voice.
