By AppleVis, 16 September, 2021

Member of the AppleVis Editorial Team

In this episode, Thomas Domville Shows us VoiceOver's Quick Settings feature on iOS and iPadOS.

Activated with a 2-finger quadruple tap, the Quick Settings panel offers fast and easy access to a number of VoiceOver's settings and options, allowing you to streamline the VoiceOver rotor. You can change what's included in this panel, and the order settings are presented in, in Settings > Accessibility > VoiceOver > Quick Settings.

Quick Settings Keystroke For External Keyboard Users

By Trenton Matthews on Thursday, September 16, 2021 - 14:33

you can also bring up the Quick Settings screen with VoiceOver+V. This command will be familiar to Mac OS VO users, as it’s the same command to adjust VoiceOver verbosity on the fly.

no braille display command for this

Sadly, Apple didn't give us a braille keyboard command for this, and there is also no way to assign one. Using the keyboard commands to emulate VO+V doesn't work either.

Not able to remove language and braille table from the rotor

By tripolice on Saturday, September 18, 2021 - 12:51

As demostrated in the podcast, I have made sure these items are on quick settings. Now when I proceed to remove them from rotor, in VO settings under Accessibility, the Language option is dimmed and nothing can be done about it, while Braille Table is unselected, yet shows up among the rotor item.

Any ideas?
